Yes, the cub section is 100 years old today. Cub groups throughout the nation will be celebrating in many different ways today and you can join in the celebrations. Simpy share the hashtag #Cubs100 or upload a picture of how you are celebrating.
We at the 14th walthamstow will be joining many other groups in our district later today at the Walthamstow Town Square for our promise renewal party and campfire songs.

Saturday the 10th of December was our group Christmas party. A chance for family and friends of the group to come and enjoy themselves. Both young and old had a great time. You can check out some of the images below.

Yes we are at it again! This time at the Wood street first Christmas Bizarre, serving up hot food and drinks!
We raised over £150. Did you come and see us? what did you think of the food?
On Sunday the Beavers, Cubs, and scouts took part in the Remembrance day parade and service. We gathered at the William Morris Gallery and walked to the Walthamstow town hall. We then took part in the 2 minute silence, reflecting on those who have lost their lives. Below are some of the images from the day. Additional photo credits to Tom Gillies.

This year is the centenary for the cub section. Districts and counties up and down the country have been celebrating this in their own way and from the 23rd to the 25th of september, our cubs attended Thriftwood campsite for the County Cubs 100 Celebration camp.
With a superhero theme, the campsite was divided into zones with vast amounts of activities at each section.
Here is what the cubs thought:
“The best bit was probably exploring the 3d maze”
“It was a great experience and I loved the canoeing”
“I loved the water slide”
“I loved everything especially the water activities”
“I loved the rafting and loved falling in”

Wood Street First Wild West Fun Day
Saturday 9th July 2016
12am to 4pm
The 14th Walthamstow Scouts will be cooking up a feast of HotDogs
and Burgers at the Wild West Funday this coming
saturday. Stick around for an afternoon of fun.
All proceeds from the BBQ go to the group.

The Beavers section has now begun using Online Scout Manager. This is a great system that allows us to better manage the records and information that we hold of our young people. It also assists us in organising activities, events ect. It also allows parents to see the progress of their your person and how they are progressing through the section.
We will shortly be sending all parents / Carers an invitation via email to use this system.
