Virtual meetings to the rescue!

Posted on March 21st, 2020 by Sam Raby

It’s sad but its true! Scout meetings face to face have been suspended until further notice. But that isn’t going to stop us…. Oh No! We have taken to video conferencing to host our meetings and so far it has been successful.

We did a round the house scavenger hunt with our beavers.

We met with the cubs and did a Q&A session on the Emergency First Aid badge.

And we took to with the scouts.

Don’t forget there is loads you can do at home. Simply log into OSM and have a look at your badges. You can upload your evidence right there as well. Check out our how to video:

We have also put some workbooks online for you to have a look at:

And here are some other places you can find some great actives and things to do:

Beavers practicing to break Enigma… and next weeks plans!

Posted on January 23rd, 2018 by admin

Last week started a return to Badge work and fun. We tried to de-code a Morse code message with some interesting results. Some of the Beavers were amazing, but in the end I think they all managed to de-code our message. They were all asked to write their names in Morse code for this week. Let’s see how that goes, and this week we will be decorating biscuits with the Scottish flag to celebrate Burns Night, and talking about Robby Burns we were thinking about giving the Beavers some Haggis but I think we will give that a miss.

Can you work out who left this message? Click here for “Morse” Info
