The Scouts tried their hand at a bit of sewing and made some lovely hand warmers. We will be finishing them off next week and will post the pdf here if anyone wants to have a go at home! We even had some chocolates to share round as we said goodbye to one of Scouts moving to Scotland. We wish her all the best in the future! #iscout #jointheadventure #skillsforlife
The Scouts have been busy at the RAF Museum. We’ve learnt how planes fly, their uses through the ages and the wars, and even managed a spot of McDonald’s for lunch! Everyone has also gained their Stage 3 Ai\nr Activity Badge! Even the leaders got involved in dressing up! A very fun day!
Tonight our cubs started planning a hike, the route and what to take. ⚜️We were also visited by 2 scout leaders who have come over from Brazil , who had come to see us to see what scouting is like in the UK 🇬🇧 . The cubs had a great time questioning our guests. At the end they gave us there Brazilian scarfs so it was only fair we sent them off with 2 of ours ! #iscout#wosm#international
This year marks the 100th year of the group. From 1917 to 2017 we have been giving young people the opportunity to gain key life skills, to try new things, to learn something new and much more.
To celibate, we took the group to Downe Scout adventures in Kent for the bank holiday weekend.
The group had a fantastic time and took part in, Crate Stacking, Archery & Grass Sledging,
The group also did a bit of DIY and took home there very own bird boxes! find out more about that in the coming months.
The Beavers came up for the main part of the weekend, and with the gang all there we took a trip down into Chislehurst Caves!
To top off the sunny bank holiday monday, the cubs and scouts took part in the classic camp water fight.
Personally….. what better way to mark your 100th year! Check out what the group got up to below.
